"It does not matter what you do, as much as it matters why you do it, how ou feel when you are doing it, and who you become as a result. The right thing done for the wrong reason, rarely yields the desired results."

Your intention is a powerful motivator in everything that you do. It defines why you do something and from that, often dictates your level of success or satisfaction with it.

Even the best of intentions can be de-railed by a lack of clear intention. For example, one person can do something because they feel obligated, which leaves them feeling dull, flat or even resentful - which can negatively affect the outcome. While for another, that same task feels fun, interesting or joyful and that energy will lead the charge towards a better outcome, or at least a funner journey.

When you do things from a sense of obligation or desperation, there is little room for inspiration, joy or satisfaction.

We all have things in life that we must do – go to work (not everyone loves their job!), pay bills (yuk!), look after the details of your life (unless you have a personal assistant that is!). These are a given. It’s how you manage the tasks beyond the "must do's" that can be your game changers. It is from them that you can tip the scales towards more balance, joy and satisfaction in your life.

So next time you have a decision to make about doing something, decide what your motivation or intention is. Ask yourself "Am I doing this from obligation or inspiration?" or "Does the idea of this feel light and empowering, or heavy and disempowering?". Once you have your answers, decisions and choices can become clearer.

When you can find more things to do that come from a sense of desire than dread, life flows better.

Enjoy!

Many Blessings,
